Amenities to help you relax

For your added comfort in the dental chair, we provide pillows, blankets and headphones.

Advanced Technology for Minimally Invasive Treatment

One of the major ways we make your dental experience as pleasant as possible is by employing advanced technologies in our diagnostics and procedures. This makes your treatment more comfortable, efficient and faster healing.

State-of-the-art digital imaging for precise diagnostics and planning

Panoramic X-ray Dr. Anzalone uses state-of-the-art digital imaging technology to obtain an accurate and detailed picture of your dental situation. Our digital panoramic X-ray equipment produces a nearly instantaneous two-dimensional view of your entire mouth that is clearer than conventional film X-rays.

When a three-dimensional view of your mouth is needed, Dr. Anzalone will arrange for you to receive a 3D CT scan at a nearby facility. The scanner takes a  rapid series of X-rays in a complete circle around your head and computer-processes them into crisp 360-degree views of your entire mouth and jaw. These images can be viewed from any angle and show features not visible in any other type of X-ray image. Advanced diagnostic imaging allows Dr. Anzalone to plan even complicated procedures with extreme precision and accuracy.

Surgical guides for accurate implant placement

Surgical Guide for Dental ImplantsWhen placing implants in challenging locations or when placing multiple implants at once, Dr. Anzalone will create a surgical guide —, a template that fits over your dental arch and marks the exact positions and angles for each implant. Surgical guides make implant placement highly accurate and efficient.

Gentle injections using special anesthetics

Dr. Anzalone administers gentle injections by first applying a special topical anesthetic that effectively desensitizes the tissue. Most patients say they felt either very little or nothing at all.

Ultrasonic scalers for gentle teeth cleaning

Ultrasonic ScalerWe use ultrasonic scalers to effectively and gently remove bacterial plaque and calculus (hardened plaque) from your teeth. Ultrasonic scalers use high-frequency vibrations to remove these deposits while simultaneously killing the disease-causing bacteria. Ultrasonic scalers clean more thoroughly than conventional hand scaling instruments and are more comfortable for patients.

Electrosurgery unit

Our electrosurgery device uses electrically generated energy emanating from a small surgical tip to make incisions in gum and other soft tissues. Electrosurgical incisions seal the tissue as it is sculpted. This prevents bleeding and infection, causes little to no post-treatment discomfort and makes for fast healing.

Dissolvable sutures

Dr. Anzalone uses dissolvable sutures in all of his surgical procedures. Dissolvable sutures make it unnecessary to come back for a second appointment to have them removed.

Growth proteins to regenerate tissue and reduce discomfort

Growth ProteinDr. Anzalone uses special growth proteins to stimulate regeneration of lost gum and bone tissue. These proteins reduce the amount of surgery needed during gum disease treatment and can sometimes be used instead of gum grafts in gum recession treatment.

Additionally, when growth proteins are applied to the tissues, post-treatment discomfort is significantly reduced.

Sedation Options

For patients who experience extreme anxiety or need extra help to relax during long procedures, Dr. Anzalone provides several sedation options, including oral sedation and IV sedation.

IV sedation produces an extremely relaxed twilight-like sleep state in which the patient is still able to respond to the doctor. Dr. Anzalone has a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) administer and monitor the sedative during the procedure. This allows him to fully concentrate on the patient’s treatment for maximum accuracy and efficiency.

Dr. Anzalone will let you know if sedation is appropriate for your circumstances and which method of sedation he recommends.
