Advanced Technology

Dr. Anzalone uses advanced technology for precise diagnosis, accurate planning and minimally invasive treatments. Read below and learn about the tools we use to ensure top-quality care, comfortable procedures and stable, long-lasting results.

  • Digital X-Rays

Digital X-raysOur digital X-ray devices emit about 80 percent less radiation than conventional film X-ray machines, and they produce crisp, detailed images that are available in seconds. Digital X-rays are clearer than film X-rays and can be magnified for close-up inspection of tiny areas.

  • Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-raysPanoramic digital X-rays show a comprehensive view of your entire mouth. They are a vital diagnostic tool for determining the condition of your oral health, as they reveal elements that are not visible in limited X-rays.

  • Intraoral Camera

Intraoral CameraOur intraoral camera is used to show you real-time views of the inside of your mouth. The camera shows the external condition of your teeth and gums in detail and provides information not visible in X-rays.

  • Digital Treatment Records

Digital ChartingDr. Anzalone records (charts) the results of his examinations and all diagnostic and treatment information in digital patient records. Digital charting makes for fast and easy reference, time comparisons and accurate tracking of patient progress.

  • Cone Beam 3D CT Scanner

Cone Beam CT ScannerFor certain types of treatments, Dr. Anzalone arranges for patients to receive a cone beam 3D CT scan at a nearby facility. The scan provides highly detailed 360-degree views of the teeth, jawbone and surrounding structures, showing details not available from any other type of X-ray.

  • 3D Implant Treatment Planning Software

Implant Planning softwareDr. Anzalone uses special 3D software to precisely plan dental implant treatment and any necessary bone grafts. The software allows him to determine the exact position, angle and depth of each implant.

  • Surgical Guides

Surgical GuideA surgical guide is a template that fits over the dental arch and marks exactly where and at what angle implants are to be placed. When an implant surgery is complex or many implants are being placed at the same time, Dr. Anzalone uses a surgical guide to make the placement accurate and efficient.

  • Electrosurgery Device

Electrosurgery DeviceOur electrosurgery device uses electrically generated energy passed through a tiny surgical tip to precisely sculpt gum and other soft tissues. Electrosurgical incisions immediately seal the tissue as it is worked on. This stops bleeding, prevents infection and makes the procedure minimally invasive. Electrosurgical incisions generate little to no pain after they are made and heal quickly.

  • Growth Proteins for Tissue Regeneration

Growth ProteinsDr. Anzalone uses an advanced formulation of growth proteins to help stimulate the regeneration of new soft and hard tissues. This advanced formula has been clinically proven to regenerate gum and bone tissue that has been lost to gum disease. Use of these proteins reduces the need for surgery in many cases and lessens post-treatment discomfort after it is applied.

  • Ultrasonic Scalers

CavitronWe use ultrasonic scalers to gently and effectively remove accumulated bacterial plaque and calculus (hardened plaque) from the teeth. Ultrasonic scalers use high-frequency vibrations to break up the deposits while simultaneously killing the bacteria. Ultrasonic scalers are gentler on the teeth and more comfortable for patients than traditional scaling instruments.

  • Dental Jet Spray Tooth Polishing System

Prophy JetWe use an advanced dental jet spray device for final cleaning and polishing of your teeth. The device acts much like a miniature pressure-washer and removes stains from tobacco, coffee and other-hard-to-clean substances. It cleans in tight areas that ultrasonic scalers and hand scaling instruments cannot access.
